Bangalore today is no less than a phenomenon. The city which used to be quiet and green, often referred as ‘the pensioner’s paradise’, is now the busiest, fastest and the most happening city in India - the hub of youth, IT and pubbing. The liberal culture and its cityscape dotted with gleaming, towering structures and mushrooming flyovers make the city only one of its kind.

Mysore is a city whose charm is often overshadowed by its glamorous neighbor, Bangalore. Originally a quiet, sleepy town, Mysore is now well on its way to become a metro, with apartment complexes, shopping malls and IT firms coming up in a frenzied pace. The city, however, is a tourist’s paradise, with its ancient temples, imposing palaces, museums, gardens and long avenues lined with trees. Mysore has also contributed its own original products to India - the mouth watering Mysore Pak and the Mysore sandalwood.

Coorg, officially called Kodagu, is the most sought after and popular hill station of Karnataka. Lying serenely amidst high mountains, Coorg’s landscape stays misty throughout the year. The aboriginals of the place are Kodavas. Apart from Kannada, the other two main languages of this hill station are Kodagu and Kodava.

Located about 94 km from Mysore, Karnataka, Nagarhole is one among the few natural habitats of Asian elephants. The place was once the hunting ground of the Mysore kings. The place derives its name from Kannada – ‘Naga’ meaning snake and ‘hole’ meaning streams. Nagarhole is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere reserve. The varied habitat and the diversity of wildlife make it an attractive tourist spot.
